What We Do

The Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories is here to help you navigate a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or other dementias.

Over 62,000 Albertans live with dementia. There is currently no known cause or cure for Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, but there is hope for creating a better tomorrow.

The Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories is working to change the face of dementia and improve the quality of life for those with the disease. Serving Alberta and the Northwest Territories, the Society provides help for today through free educational and support services for people diagnosed with dementia and their care partners, builds partnerships with health professionals and the community, and provides hope for tomorrow through advances in research into effective treatments and finding a cure for this devastating disease.
