Westover is an addiction treatment centre located in beautiful Thamesville, Ontario and is fully-accredited by the Canadian Centre for Accreditation. Founded in 1986, we are leaders in abstinence focused residential treatment. We have spent more than 39 years providing quality care for our clients with our holistic treatment model. Our relaxed country setting and classic charm provides clients with the ideal space for healing and transformation.

Every day there are reports about the increasing number of lives lost to addiction. A full range of evidence-based interventions is necessary to manage this ongoing health crisis. There is no magic bullet – not all treatment options are effective for all people suffering from a substance use disorder. It requires access to a broad range of interventions to help keep people alive and safe. Individuals diagnosed with a moderate to severe substance use disorder can be best served by in-patient treatment programs (also known as bed-based or residential treatment programs). Residential treatment is a critical component of the continuum of care.

We have reached a crossroads. Without additional investment from the government of Ontario, we will soon no longer be able to offer the same level of quality services that we have provided for almost four decades. The gap between the funding we receive and the cost of providing treatment is widening at an alarming rate, increasing our reliance on donations to continue to provide lifesaving treatment. These 50/50 draws will be an essential part of our fundraising efforts.
