World Down Syndrome Day

The Edmonton Down Syndrome Society (EDSS) is a charitable organization that serves families and people with Down syndrome for over 30 years. Our Society supports people born with Down syndrome and their families through programming, information, resources and connecting members with one another. In addition to serving families in Edmonton, our reach extends from Red Deer to Lloydminster, Grande Prairie and the Northwest Territories

We are celebrating over 30 years of Inspiring Endless Potential. Join us March 21 as we celebrate 321 World Down Syndrome Day, June 14th as we Walk for Down Syndrome, and in October as we celebrate Uniquely Me with a fashion show. The proceeds from these events will support the ongoing efforts of EDSS to support individuals with Down syndrome. These programs include professional services like speech-language, occupational, and behavior therapies, educational services such as literacy and numeracy, and recreational services including musical theatre, fitness, cooking, and other social programs.

Your support will directly impact, and support individuals born with Down syndrome as they grow, learn, and achieve their full potential.

World Down Syndrome Day 50-50 Raffle Rules

1. Players must reside in Alberta, be 18 years or older, and use a major credit card, Visa Debit or MasterCard Debit. Credit cards used for payment must have an Alberta address.

2. Tickets will be available online and sold at a rate of:

1 for $5

3 for $10

10 for $20

3. Ticket sales will end on July 14, 2026, at 11:00pm with the draw taking place in Edmonton on July 15, 2026, at 10:00am.

4. The winner will receive a cash prize of 50% of ticket sales up to a maximum prize of $10,000.

5. All ticket numbers will be emailed to ticket purchaser by the registered Electronic Raffle Supplier (ERS) (Rafflebox). A physical ticket will not be mailed out for this draw.

6. The winner will be determined by a random draw utilizing an Alberta Gaming Liquor Commission (AGLC) registered Electronic Raffle Supplier (ERS) Random Number Generator (RNG).

7. The winner will be contacted in person, by email or phone. The winner has 30 days to claim their prize, a second draw from the same numbers will occur after 30 days if the prize goes unclaimed. You will also be named on social media as the winner.

8. Draw results will appear under the "Winners" tab found on the main raffle page.

9. By playing you consent to having your name and winning numbers published.
