Safe Community is a charitable organization that has been operating in

Wood Buffalo since 1992. Through collaboration with community

stakeholders and funders we work daily towards building a safer

community for all. Our mission is to deliver inclusive safety awareness

programming while providing injury prevention skills in the region.

Programming includes helmet exchange, pedestrian safety intiatives,

safe and sober driving education, Halloween safety, car seat safety

and more.

Safe Community's dedicated car seat branch, Buckle Up Wood

Buffalo, supports parents and caregivers with the safe transport of

children in vehicles.

Our goal is to educate, empower and equip community members of

the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo with the knowledge to make

the safest choices possible for their families while travelling in motor

vehicles.
