Race Day 50/50 Rules – July 19, 2026
1. All tickets will be sold only to residents of Ontario who are 18 years of age or older.
2. Tickets will be sold online using the electronic lottery system supplied by Rafflebox.
3. Tickets will be sold in-person on July 19th at the event using handheld devices provided by Rafflebox.
4. The lottery dates below will occur in the Province of Ontario.
• May 25th, 2026 – Ticket Sales Begin May 25th, 2026 at 12:00 a.m.
• July 19th, 2026 – Ticket Sales End July 19th at 6:00 p.m.
• July 19th, 2026 – Draw Takes Place July 19th, at 6:10 p.m.
5.Tickets prices are 1 for $5, 3 for $10, 20 for $20, 100 for $50
6. After buying, patrons will be provided by the sellers, a receipt with their registered numbers from the electronic raffle system (Rafflebox). No specific numbers can be given as they are issued in sequence of order.
7. The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all lottery numbers sold for the draw.
8. The draw will be done at Ajax Downs Racetrack and the winning number will be updated on the lottery landing page and circulated by host organization.
9. Winners may claim their prize by contacting United Way of Durham Region at 905-436-7377. Winners will be paid by cheque. Winners must have the original winning ticket email or stub (no copies).
10. The winning ticket holder has one week to claim their prize from the date of the draw.
11. The winner must provide his/her name, address, and phone number with picture identification for the lottery reporting sheet.
12. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize which is 50 percent of the total sales for that draw. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.
13. In the event that no winner comes forward, the winning number will be kept on file in a secure location and held for six months. After that time period has elapsed, the prize will be donated to Host Organization, with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
14. The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the 50/50 draw:
• Residents outside of Ontario
• Anyone under the age of 18
• Employees, Spouses/Partners and household family members of United Way Durham Region
15. The above set of rules will be posted on the lottery website.
