Purchasing of Tickets: Tickets will be sold online through a system operated by Rafflebox Technologies Inc, an online 50/50 platform. The link for the purchase will be promoted on the Ontario Library Association website as well as their social media channels and newsletters. Anyone in Ontario may purchase tickets if they qualify (see Qualification). Tickets are electronically and randomly generated by Rafflebox and immediately emailed to the purchaser. Being an online platform, all tickets sales must be purchased using a major credit card or debit credit. Tickets are available at a rate of:
- 2 tickets for $10;
- 8 tickets for $20;
- 25 tickets for $50; and
- 100 tickets for $100.
Ticket purchased will not be refunded, all sales are final.
Prizes: Two (2) prizes will be pulled, an Early Bird for a $500 gift card to The Library Marketplace and a Grand Prize for the 50% of the total ticket sales.
Early Bird-The gift card will be provided to The Library Marketplace which has thousands of Library Land and love of reading merchandise, as well as over 1500 library print resources. This draw will be occur at 2:00pm January 21, 2026 and include any tickets sold prior to noon that day. This prize has no cash value outside of The Library Marketplace if unused. The winner of the Early Bird will also be included and qualify to win the Grand Prize 50/50.
Grand Prize-The cash prize of 50% of the sales will be drawn on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 4:45pm and will include all sales up to and including 4:00pm that day.
Location and Times of Draws: Both the Early Bird and the 50/50 Grand Prize Draw will be completed online by Rafflebox Technologies Inc platform. A randomly drawn ticket number for each of the two draws will be made at the designated time by the Ontario Library Association, who will then notify the winner by email or phone at on the respective dates. Following notice to the winner and receiving a copy of their winning ticket by email, the Ontario Library Association will announce publicly the name and ticket number of the winner. This will occur on the Ontario Library Association website and social media channels.
Early Bird-will be held on January 21, 2026. Sales made prior to noon will be included in the draw, which will be announced at 2:00pm EST
Grand Prize-will be held January 30, 2026. Sales will close at 4:00pm EST and the draw of the ticket will be announced at 4:45pm EST.
Verification of Tickets: Following notification by the Ontario Library Association, the winners from each of the Early Bird and Grand Prize 50/50 draw will be required to email a copy of their winning ticket to the Ontario Library Association at info@accessola.com. This will act as verification of the winning tickets. At that time the prize can be awarded and public notification of the winning ticket and winning name will be announced.
Distribution to Winners: Following verification of the winning ticket, the Ontario Library Association will work with the winner of the Grand Prize to secure an EFT of the winning funds. This may take up to 5 business days to occur, following verification. The Early Bird winner will be provided with an online credit code for the $500 winnings with The Library Marketplace.
Qualification to Play: Any purchaser must be:
- 18 year or older
- physically located in the province of Ontario
- By playing you consent to have your name and winner number published by the Ontario Library Association on their social media platforms, newsletters and/or website.
Proceeds from the ticket sales will go to support the work of the Ontario Library Association’s support of reading materials and literacy resources to the Ontario First Nation Public Library communities and youth sponsorship to the Forest of Reading youth literacy program.
Unclaimed Winnings: Any cash prizes which are not claimed will be secured or placed in safekeeping for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. If at the end of six (6) months the prize has still not been claimed, the prize or monies equivalent to the fair market value of the prize will be donated to a beneficiary approved by the licensing authority.
Limitations to Play:
- No person assisting in the conduct and management of this 50/50 will have any monetary interest in any card, ticket, or bet, or have any chance to win a lottery prize in any way (e.g. Emily Burns, Director Education and Sabrina Saunders, Deputy Director).
- No designated member responsible for the conduct of the licensed lottery will have any direct or indirect personal financial interest in the funds raised. (e.g. Emily Burns, Director Education and Sabrina Saunders, Deputy Director).
- The designated members-in-charge, Emily Burns and Sabrina Saunders, will not purchase tickets, nor anyone residing in their household.

In the event of a conflict between information used by the Raffle Box and that which is contained on the ticket, the instructions, the Game Conditions for the specific 50/50 Draw, these Rules of Play, such conflict shall be resolved in accordance with the following priority:
- The AGCO Regulations;
- These Rules of Play;
- The Game Conditions for the specific 50/50 draw, if any;
- The Ticket.
