Every day, after day, after day...
We are...still feeding tiny babies... still caring for juveniles... and still releasing overwintered animals
This is SO unusual, because normally these processes are not happening simultaneously...therefore GROUNDHOG DAY!
This Spring was too cold to release, and too cold for new babies to thrive, or even to survive without parents.
When wild parents aren't available to raise their young, Rehabbers step in and YOUR donation dollars make all the difference. We can't emphasis enough how incredibly important YOU are.
This year in particular we are still buying life saving formulas and specialized foods, and building release boxes for every stage of these fragile lives. Every year this is the busiest season but this year we are absolutely overwhelmed by the numbers of wild orphans in desperate need of care.
The number of animals have increased... The costs have skyrocketed... And the number of caring volunteers has decreased.
