What is Hillside?

Hillside Festival is a not-for-profit organization and music festival in Guelph, Ontario with a broad artistic vision that emphasizes diversity: of culture, of musical heritage and style, of age, geography, and influence! We are recognized as the greenest festival in Canada with initiatives including no single use plastics, dishes washed on site, and being carbon neutral since 2019.

The summer festival is a three-day event, taking place on the beautiful Guelph Lake Island. The 43rd annual Hillside Festival is happening on July 17-19 this year. With over 50 performing artists from around Canada and the world, and a bustling schedule of workshops, activities, and performances for every age, it promises to be an unforgettable weekend!

Why We’re Fundraising:

At Hillside, we strive to create magical moments. We want our patrons to walk away with not just memories that will last a lifetime, but also stories that they’ll never get tired of telling.

As a registered charity and not-for-profit, we often rely on the goodwill of our supporters to make our goals possible. With this 50/50 raffle, we aim to raise money, while also offering supporters the chance to win prizes for themselves. Funds raised by this raffle will support Hillside’s mission to celebrate creativity through artistic expression, community engagement, and environmental leadership. We do this through offering programming in our Indigenous Circle, showcasing diverse artists from across the world with over 50% of artists being BIPOC or female-led, building infrastructure to wash all dishes on-site and eliminate single use plastics, and more. These projects are possible through support from our community, and fundraisers like this!

Hillside Festival Raffle Rules of Play

1. All tickets will be sold only to people who are 18 years of age or older.

2. Tickets will be sold online using the electronic lottery system supplied by Rafflebox, and in-person.

3. The ticket sales start date is Friday, May 1, 2026.

4. The lottery dates below will occur in the Province of Ontario.

● MAY 17, 2026

● JUNE 17, 2026

● JULY 19, 2026

5. Tickets are 1 for $5; 3 for $10; 10 for $20; 50 for $50, 200 for $100.

6. After buying, sellers will provide patrons a receipt with their registered numbers from the electronic raffle system (Rafflebox). No specific numbers can be given as they are issued in sequence of order.

7. The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all lottery numbers sold for the draw.

8. The draw will be done at Guelph Lake Island and the winning number will be updated on the lottery landing page and on Hillside Festival’s Website/Social Media.

9. Winners may claim their prize by contacting Hillside Festival at info@hillsidefestival.ca or 519-763-6396. Winners will be paid by cheque. Winners must have the original winning ticket and no copies.

10. The winning ticket holder has six months to claim their prize from the date of the draw their ticket was purchased for.

11. The winner must provide their name, address, and phone number with picture identification for our report sheet.

12. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize which is, at minimum, 50 percent of the total sales for that draw. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.

13. In the event that no winner comes forward, the winning number will be kept on file in a secure location and held for six months. After that time period has elapsed, the prize will be donated to Hillside Festival, with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

14. The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the 50/50 draw:

● Residents outside of Ontario

● Anyone under the age of 18

● Or any other restricted members such as the organization’s board members and/or active participants.

15. The above set of rules will be posted on the lottery website.
