Griefwalk 50/50 Draw

This 50/50 fundraiser is to support Griefwalk: a non-profit organization that relies on your support to continue to offer programs, support groups, and resources to help guide those navigating through life’s losses.

Griefwalk was born in 2010 out of the desire to care for the brokenhearted; those who are grieving and mourning over life’s losses. In a world that is often grief avoidant, we want to offer a safe place to find understanding, hope, care and compassion on your journey.

We believe that we can all experience healing from life’s losses. We also believe that the work of healing is done better with other people, who understand and provide a compassionate and open heart, in a place of refuge where healing can be supported.

No matter where you are on your grief journey, we offer the following programs, groups and resources to help.

Griefwalk is a community-based organization, offering care and support in a non-discriminatory manner to people of every religion, ethnicity, or orientation. It is the priority in Griefwalk to create a respectful and non-judgmental atmosphere for all participants. Griefwalk, gratefully housed, resourced, and supported by Lakeside Church, exists only to provide an agenda-free community service to those grieving.

Our support groups meet weekly. They are offered in the fall, winter, and spring.

RULES OF PLAY

Griefwalk Fundraising 2026 - 50/50 draw is licensed by, and will follow the rules set out by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

1. Players must reside in Ontario and be 18 years of age or older.

2. Tickets will be sold online only, using electronic lottery system supplied by Rafflebox.

3. Tickets are purchased using major credit and debit cards. All ticket numbers will be emailed to ticket purchasers by Rafflebox.

4. Employees, volunteers, and representatives of Lakeside Church who are directly involved in the management, administration, or execution of the raffle, including the draw process, are not eligible to purchase tickets.

5. Tickets will be sold at the following rates:

- 1 for $10 ; 4 for $20 ; 20 for $50 ; 50 for $100

6. Ticket sales are unlimited. Ticket sales close at 11:00 am EST on the Draw Date.

7. Winning ticket is selected at 1:00 pm on the draw date from all the tickets sold for the draw, using the Rafflebox Random Number Generator (RNG)

8. Draw Date: Tuesday, June 30, 2026

9. Results will be posted by 8 pm EST on https://www.rafflebox.ca/raffle/griefwalk. The winner will be contacted by phone and email within 72 hours of the draw.

10. Winner must provide their phone number, address, a piece of photo ID, and the email receipt with their winning ticket number. Once verified, the winner will receive a cheque in the amount of 50% of value of total ticket sales.

11. As per lottery licensing policy, winners have a period of six (6) months to claim their prize. Any prizes which are not claimed must be secured or placed in safekeeping for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. If at the end of six (6) months the prize has still not been claimed, the prize or monies equivalent to the fair market value of the prize must be donated to a beneficiary approved by the licensing authority.
