2026 Pets in the Park 50/50 Rules
1. Raffle tickets may be sold online through the Rafflebox platform and in person at the Edmonton Humane Society 13620 163 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta and at various event locations using secure, authorized remote sales units (RSUs) called InVenue PAX mobile sales units, operated by approved raffle volunteers or staff. All ticket purchases processed through remote sales devices are transmitted electronically to the official raffle system and are subject to these rules.
2. Ticket purchasers must be 18 years of age or older, and the name of a minor must not be written on the ticket. If it is determined prior to the draw that a ticket has been issued to a minor, the ticket is deemed void and the purchaser refunded.
3. Tickets may be purchased and sold in Alberta only. Tickets may be purchased online, in person using the RSU (with credit cards or debit cards) at the Edmonton Humane Society, 13620 163 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta for the duration of the raffle during opening hours. The RSU sellers will sign out the machines at 8:00AM on the first day of sales from the lottery chairperson at the Edmonton Humane Society, 13620 163 Street NW, Edmonton and will return them to the lottery chairperson at the end of the selling period. Funds are received automatically into our account on the Rafflebox platform and are tallied daily along with the online purchases.
Tickets will also be available to purchase in person using the RSU (with credit cards or debit cards) at Buena Vista Park 7823 131 St NW #7821, Edmonton, Alberta on June 14, 2026 from 8:00AM – 4:00PM. The RSU sellers will sign out the machines at 8:00AM at Buena Vista Park from the lottery chairperson and return them at 4:00PM to the lottery chairperson. Funds are received automatically into our account on the Rafflebox platform and are tallied daily along with the online purchases.
4. How to Purchase InVenue: Ticker sellers will be selling tickets with invenue Raffle Sales Units (RSU). Ticket purchaser must include their name and phone number when purchasing tickets inVenue.
5. Board members - or members of their immediate family (spouse/partner) of the Edmonton Humane Society are not eligible to purchase tickets.
6. Employees - or members of their immediate family (spouse/partner) categorized as “Management” within the Human Resource policies of the Edmonton Humane Society are not eligible to purchase tickets.
7. Employees - or members of their immediate family (spouse/partner) in the Fund Development or Accounting departments of the Edmonton Humane Society are not eligible to purchase tickets.
8. Total ticket value is $95,000. Tickets are available as follows:
a. Series A: $10 each of total 500 tickets
b. Series B: $20 set of 4 tickets of total 3,000 tickets
c. Series C: $50 set of 20 tickets of total 14,000 tickets
d. Series D: $100 set of 100 tickets of total 40,000 tickets
e. There are a total of 57,500 tickets available
9. To be eligible for the draw, payment must be received on or before June 16, 2026, at 11:59:59 PM.
10. Prize must be accepted as awarded.
11. Winner will be notified by phone within 7 days of being drawn. If winner cannot be located by phone, they will be notified by registered mail within 30 days of the winning ticket being drawn.
12. If the winner cannot be located within three months of the winning ticket being drawn, an application will be made to AGLC to have the prize awarded to the Edmonton Humane Society.
13. All ticket sales are final unless there has been an amendment to the raffle (date change or cancellation).
14. All tickets will be emailed to purchasers by the registered Electronic Raffle Supplier (ERS) whenever possible. Tickets will only be mailed to purchasers who do not provide a valid email address. Tickets sold on the RSUs will be printed at the time of sale.
15. A list of winners will be made available to the public no later than 72 hours after the final draw by website or upon request. By purchasing tickets, winners consent to having their name and winning numbers published.
16. The winner will be determined by a random draw utilizing an Alberta Gaming Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) registered ERS Random Number Generator (RNG) at the Edmonton Humane Society, 13620 163 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta on June 18, 2026. The draw is open to the public.
17. Purchaser and transaction files are continuously backed up by the ERS. In the unexpected event of a power failure the draw will be postponed and take place immediately once power has been restored.
18. The prize is cash; prize winner takes 50% of total ticket sales to maximum of $47,500.
19. In the event a winning ticket has more than one name on it, the prize shall be awarded to only one of the individuals identified on the ticket. This shall be the first name listed. The Edmonton Humane Society and the AGLC are not responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket stub.
20. If all tickets are sold prior to May 29, 2026 the draw will be made on June 1, 2026 with AGLC approval.
