The CAS Foundations (CARF and CASIEF) are excited to announce our inaugural 50/50 raffle to be held at our annual CAS meeting in Ottawa! Grab your tickets now and support your foundations!

CARF: The CAS Research Program was launched in 1985, when the first annual CAS Research Award was presented to Dr. Howard Nathan for his work on “Anesthetics and Myocardial Ischemia”. However, it became a possibility six years earlier, through the establishment of the Canadian Anesthesia Research Foundation (CARF) in 1979. Today, the Program administers over $200,000 annually, through CARF, and provides support to researchers in anesthesia who are CAS members.

CASIEF: The Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society International Education Foundation (CASIEF) is a global health charity that provides safe anaesthesia and perioperative care globally through education, knowledge translation, and advocacy. We collaborate with partners to develop local leadership and self-sustaining programs.

The winner will be announced at our Soiree event on June 6 at our annual meeting and will be contacted to claim their prize.

CAS Foundations Raffle Rules:

CAS FOUNDATIONS RAFFLE RULES

1.Players must be 18 or older, and use a major credit card, Visa Debit or MasterCard Debit.

2. The chair and immediate past chair of CARF and employees from Rafflebox are ineligible to purchase raffle tickets, including those involved in the conduct or management of the raffle.

3. Tickets will be available online and sold at a rate of:

• 1 for $10

• 3 for $25

4. Ticket sales will end on Saturday June 6 at 8:00PM with the draw taking place at Fairmont Chateau Laurier Ottawa – Adam Room on June 6 at 9:30pm.

5. The winner will receive a cash prize of 50% of ticket sales.

6. All ticket numbers will be emailed to ticket purchasers by the registered Electronic Raffle Supplier (ERS) (Rafflebox). A physical ticket will not be mailed out for this draw.

7. The winner will be determined by a random draw using a registered Electronic Raffle Supplier (ERS) Random Number Generator (RNG).

8. The winner will be contacted by phone and email. The winner has six months (6) to claim their prize, if at the end of six (6) months the prize has still not been claimed, the prize will be donated to a beneficiary approved by the licensing authority.

9. By playing you consent to having your name and winning numbers published.

10. This raffle is being conducted according to the Raffle Rules of Play as set by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) Lottery Licensing Policy as per ConnexOntario 1-866-531-2600.
