The Festival Management Committee, producers of the Toronto Caribbean Carnival is requesting

The Festival Management Committee (FMC) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to celebrating, preserving, and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Caribbean community in Canada. Rooted in the principles of diversity, equity, and social inclusion, FMC has become a national leader in cultural programming, economic empowerment, and educational advancement for racialized and marginalized communities.

Our mission is to curate and produce impactful cultural experiences and community-based programs through collaboration, partnerships, and youth engagement. Anchored by our flagship festival—the Toronto Caribbean Carnival—we amplify the voices and talents of Caribbean Canadians while building bridges between communities across the country.

FMC’s work serves the broader public by:

Promoting Arts and Cultural Heritage: The Toronto Caribbean Carnival is an iconic celebration of Caribbean culture that includes music, dance, costume artistry, culinary showcases, and storytelling. These events highlight Canada’s multicultural fabric and provide a platform for cultural exchange and preservation.

Empowering Racialized and Newcomer Communities: The FMC provides business education, mentorship, and community engagement to support economic inclusion and self-sufficiency for racialized individuals.

Educational Initiatives: FMC has worked in partnership with institutions like George Brown College and the Toronto District School Board to deliver culturally relevant education, including Carnival arts, financial literacy, and leadership development.

Fostering Social Inclusion and Community Development: FMC’s events and programs are designed to be inclusive, accessible, and community driven. We actively promote intercultural understanding, reduce social isolation, and support mental wellness through public celebrations, workshops, and volunteerism.

Through its sustained and expansive efforts, FMC contributes meaningfully to Canada’s social fabric and economic vitality, making a measurable impact in areas such as cultural equity, community engagement, and public benefit.

2. Online tickets will be sold from 1 November 2025 – 16 August 2026

3. The amount of the 50/50 will be updated and announced weekly.

4. Tickets will be sold at all event locations as well as at our office. The information is as follows:

a. Our main office from 3 November 2025 – 12 August 2026

5. There will be three (3) raffle draws.

6. Two of the raffle draws will be held at the Toronto Caribbean Carnival’s physical office,

a. located at 716 Gordon Baker Rd., Suite 201, in Toronto, Ontario.

b. One draw will be held at Scarborough Town Centre, located at 300 Borough Dr., in Scarborough, Ontario

7. The raffle draws will occur on:

a. 27 February 2026 between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm

b. 13 June 2026 between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

c. 21 August 2026 between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm

8. The winning number will be updated on the lottery landing page of the Toronto Caribbean Carnival’s website (www.torontocarnival.ca), as well as on Facebook and Instagram.

9. 50/50 raffle tickets must be purchased in Ontario.

10. Tickets can only be sold to people who are 18 years of age or older.

11. Tickets purchased online will be sold using the electronic lottery system supplied by Rafflebox Technologies Inc.

12. Tickets are:

a. Five (5) tickets for $10.00

b. Ten (10) tickets for $15.00

c. Twenty-five (25) tickets for $25.00

13. After buying, patrons will be provided by the sellers, a receipt with their registered numbers from the electronic raffle system. No specific numbers can be given as they are issued in sequence of order.

14. The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generator (RNG) system from all raffle numbers sold for the draw for the period of the raffle.

15. The winner must provide their name, address, and phone number with photo identification for our report sheet.

16. PAYMENT WILL BE MADE BY CHEQUE.

17. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize which is 50% of the gross total sales for the draw. If the winner cannot provide photo identification, the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.

18. The winning ticket holder has six (6) months to claim their prize from the draw date.

a. Multiple attempts will be made to contact the winning ticket holder (by phone, e-mail, and/or registered mail) during the six months to ensure all reasonable efforts are made to reach them.

19. If no winner comes forward, then the winning number will be kept on file in a secure location and held for six (6) months.

20. In the event that no winning ticket holder claims the prize after that period has elapsed, the prize will be donated to the Festival Management Committee, with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

21. The following individuals are ineligible to participate in the 50/50 draw:

a. Employees of the Festival Management Committee and their immediate family.

b. The Board of Directors of the Festival Management Committee and their immediate family.

c. Residents outside of Ontario

d. Anyone under the age of 18 years
