Rules of Play
Sale and Issuance of 50/50Tickets
1. Tickets will be sold online using the electronic lottery system supplied by Rafflebox.
2. The lottery dates below will occur in the Province of Ontario:
Draw #1 – 2026 May 1, 2026
Tickets will go on sale beginning February 2, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.
Early Bird Draw # 1 – March 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. – prize $500
All tickets purchased by 11:59 p.m. on March 1, 2026, will be eligible for the first early bird draw that will take place at 12:00 p.m. on March 2, 2026.
Early Bird Draw # 2 –April 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. – prize $1,000
All tickets purchased by 11:59 p.m. on April 5, 2026, will be eligible for the second early bird draw that will take place at 12:00 p.m. on April 6, 2026.
Grand Prize Draw - The deadline to purchase tickets for the jackpot is 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2026. The grand prize will be half of the total sales.
The winning number for the grand prize will be drawn on Friday, May 1, 2026, at
12:00 p.m. via random number generator using Rafflebox approved online software.
Draw #2-2026 September 30, 2026
Tickets will go on sale beginning July 1, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.
Early Bird Draw # 1 – August 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. – prize $500
All tickets purchased by 11:59 p.m. on August 3, 2026, will be eligible for the first early bird draw that will take place at 12:00 p.m. on August 4, 2026.
Early Bird Draw # 2 – September 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. – prize $1,000
All tickets purchased by 11:59 p.m. on September 5, 2026, will be eligible for the first early bird draw that will take place at 12:00 p.m. on September 6, 2026.
Grand Prize Draw - The deadline to purchase tickets for the Grand Prize is 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. The grand prize will be half of the total sales.
The winning number for the grand prize will be drawn on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at
12:00 p.m. via random number generator using Rafflebox approved online software.
3. Tickets selected as winners in the Early Bird draws shall remain eligible and will be re-entered for inclusion in the Grand Prize draw.
4. The following are ticket denominations for eligible players to purchase 50/50 tickets:
50/50 Ticket Denominations:
5 numbers for $10.00
40 numbers for $20.00
150 numbers for $40.00
400 numbers for $80.00
5. After buying, patrons will be provided by the seller, a receipt via email with their 50/50 registered numbers from a Random Selection System. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly.
6. A player is solely responsible for ensuring that they receive the correct ticket denomination and is solely responsible for the handling of the purchased ticket after the 50/50 fundraiser has presented the ticket.
7. A player must be 18 years of age or older to buy a ticket.
8. A player must be located in the province of Ontario at the time of purchase.
9. The Grand Prize amount of the 50/50 lottery will be determined based on the number and value of tickets purchased. This information will be updated in real-time on the lottery landing page located on the cancerassist.ca website.
10. The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all lottery numbers sold for the draw.
11. The winning number will be announced on the lottery landing page at https://cancerassist.ca/online-lottery/.
12. The winner may claim their prize by contacting Cancer Assistance Program at (905) 383-9797 x112 or events@cancerassist.ca. The ticket may then be brought to Cancer Assistance Program located at 555 Concession Street at an agreed upon time for ticket verification. The winner will then be paid by cheque for the amount posted on the lottery website for which they bought their ticket. Winners must have the original winning ticket and no copies. All payments will be made by cheque. It will take approximately 2 – 3 weeks for the cheque to be prepared for the winner.
13. The winner must provide their name, address, and phone number with picture identification for our report sheet.
14. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize - $500 (Early Bird #1), $1,000 (Early Bird #2) or 50 percent of the total sales of the Grand Prize. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.
15. The winning ticket holder has six months to claim their prize from the date of the draw their ticket was purchased for.
16. In the event that no winner comes forward, the winning number will be kept on file in a secure location and held for six months. After that time period has elapsed, the prize will be donated to Cancer Assistance Program, with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
17. The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the 50/50 draws: Cancer Assistance Program staff, residents outside of Ontario, anyone under the age of 18.
