The Johnny Bower Foundation and Camp Bickell Inc. have teamed up to present the

“2025 POKECHECK FOR A CAUSE” raffle

Johnny Bower, the legendary Maple leaf goaltender, starred for the Leafs from 1959 to 1970, where he backstopped the Leafs to 4 Stanley Cups. He was voted one of the 100 Greatest NHL Payers of all time and also is the only 3-time recipient of the prestigious J.P. Bickell Memorial Award.

After his passing in December 2017, the Johnny Bower foundation was created by the family to continue his philanthropic legacy.

J.P. Bickell, who at the time was the president of the McIntyre-Porcupine mine was a businessman, philanthropist and sports team owner. Jack Bickell is best known for his long-time association with the Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Club, as an owner, president, chairman and director from 1924 to 1951.

Camp Bickell which is located near Iroquois Falls, Ontario was established in 1939 to provide a camp for youth.

Grand Prize

The Johnny Bower Experience includes: a dinner voucher for Real Sports Bar & Grill (value $200)

Two tickets (the Bower Family seats) for the Toronto/Vancouver game on January 10, 2026 at Scotiabank Arena (Toronto)

Two Johnny Bower Maple Leaf jerseys (value $500)

A visit to the Maple Leaf Alumni box

Meet and greet with “the Voice of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Joe Bowen, the Leafs long time play-by-play radio announcer

Your host for the evening will be Johnny’s grandson, John Bower III.

Second Prize

An autographed Auston Mathews jersey (est value $1000)

Third Prize

An autographed Curtis Joseph jersey (est value $500)

Rules of Play

Ticket purchasers must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the province of Ontario at the time of purchase. Tickets must be purchased using a major credit card with an Ontario address.

Tickets will be sold online using the electronic raffle system supplied by Rafflebox.

Tickets are sold at 1 for $10; 3 for $25; 10 for $50

After buying, purchasers will receive a confirmation email with their registered numbers from a Random Selection System. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly.

Tickets will be on sale between December 5, 2025 at 6:00am to January 1, 2026 at 11:59:59pm.

Ticket sales will not exceed $30,000.00.

Prizes:

1. The Grand Prize first prize is a Johnny Bower Experience for the Toronto Maple Leafs/Vancouver Canucks game on Saturday, January 20, 2026 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The winner will receive a $200 dinner voucher for Real Sports, 2 Johnny Bower Toronto Maple Leaf jerseys ($500 total value), sit in Johnny Bower’s seats for the first and third period ($500), visit the Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni suite with a member of the Bower Family for the second period ($2500) amongst other experiences. John Bower III, Johnny’s grandson, will be their host for the evening.

2. Second prize is an autographed Auston Mathews jersey (approximate value $1,200).

3. Third prize is a Curtis Joseph autographed jersey (approximate value $500).

The draw will take place on January 2, 2025 at 11:00am at Camp Bickell, Iroquois Falls, ON P0K 1G0. The winners will be determined using Rafflebox’s random-number generator draw. The highest value prize is drawn first, then draw down sequentially to the lowest value prizes. The draw order will be as follows:

Winners will be contacted by phone and/or email using the information they provided at the time they purchased the tickets. The winners must provide their phone number, address, and the email receipt with their winning lottery ticket number, before collecting their winnings.

Winners have six (6) months to claim their prize from the date of the draw. If at the end of six (6) months the prize has still not been claimed, the prize or monies equivalent to the fair market value of a charitable allocation will be approved by AGCO.

Collection of prizes will be worked out between the 3 winners and Camp Bickell.

The winning numbers, first name, last name and city may be published on our website.
