The Angel Foundation for Learning is excited to announce our latest online 50/50 raffle fundraiser! - Grab your tickets now for a chance to win!

AFL is the only charity that exists solely to help students and families in the Toronto Catholic District School Board.

The Foundation distributes financial and resource-based aid to more than 170 schools who have student nutrition programs. It also directs individual and corporate donations to support TCDSB students and families who require temporary emergency assistance due to unexpected circumstances (fire, flood, sudden illness or loss). AFL also assists with the cost of basic essentials for children and youth including school apparel, eye glasses, hearing aids and dental treatment. We also offer a number of bursaries for post-secondary studies, support student leadership and camp programs for underprivileged youth.

Never has the need been greater in our communities, and while those who need assistance is increasing year to year as prices for basic commodities escalates, donation levels are on the decline. Initiatives such as these 50-50 raffles enable us to generate much needed revenue to help as many students and families as possible, while also providing participants with a chance to win cash and prizes.

The net proceeds from this raffle will support our commitment to ensuring that no student is left behind due to financial circumstances.

The winner of the cash jackpot and any early birds draws will be contacted to claim their prizes.

There is an option on the Rafflebox 50-50 draw site to make a donation when you purchase your ticket. This is not mandatory. If you opt in, and your donation is $20 or more, a tax receipt will be issued. Please note that as per CRA regulations we can not issue tax receipts for the purchase of the raffle tickets.

Electronic 50-50 Raffle Rules of Play

Summer 50-50 Raffle—June 24, 2026

Effective May 4, 2026

These Rules apply, until amended or revised, to 50/50 Raffles conducted by The Angel Foundation for Learning.

In the event of a conflict between information issued by Rafflebox and that which is contained on the ticket, the instructions, the Game Conditions for the specific 50/50 Draw, these Rules of Play, such conflict shall be resolved in accordance with the following priority:

(a) the AGCO Regulations;

(b) these Rules of Play;

(c) the Game Conditions for the specific 50/50 Draw, if any;

(d) the ticket.

Sale and Issuance of 50/50 Tickets:

50/50 Draws for all Online Only events for The Angel Foundation for Learning, launched through the on-line system maintained by Rafflebox. Ticket sales open on May 4, 2026 at 9 am.

Ticket sales close at 1 pm June 24, 2026.

A player who is 18 years of age or older, and is physically located in the province of Ontario, Canada may purchase 50/50 tickets for a Draw held by the Foundation online at AngelFoundation.rafflenexus.com

Ticket Packages:

Standard Series Jackpot:

(i) 5 numbers for $10.00;

(ii) 15 numbers for $20.00;

(iii) 100 numbers for $50.00;

(iv) 250 numbers for $100.00;

A player is solely responsible for ensuring that he/she receives the correct ticket denomination and is solely responsible for the handling of the purchased ticket after the 50/50 Fundraiser has presented the ticket.

A player may cancel his/her ticket and obtain a refund if he/she has paid for the ticket by sending an email to angel.foundation@tcdsb.org, providing cancellation is before the draw is executed.

A player must be 18 years of age or older to buy a ticket.

A player who is employed by The Angel Foundation for Learning, or sits on the Board of Directors of The Angel Foundation for Learning, may purchase tickets, but is not eligible to win a prize.

Tickets may only be purchased online through the Rafflebox site using a credit card. In the event that the player does not have a credit card, they should contact angel.foundation@tcdsb.org to inquire about procedures for purchasing tickets.

Purchasers must be located within the Province of Ontario in order to be eligible to buy tickets.

The Draw and Results:

The draw will be done online utilizing the Random Number Generator on the Rafflebox platform, in adherence with AGCO regulations. The number drawn is referred to as the “winning number”.

Tickets for the Spring Raffle 50-50 draw will be on sale through to 1 pm on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. The winning number will be drawn at 1 pm on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

Early Bird draws will take place on:

• Friday, May 22, 2026 at 1:00 PM PM (Deadline to purchase tickets: May 22, 2026 at 1 pm)

• Friday, June 12, 2026 PM (Deadline to purchase tickets: June 12, 2026 at 1 pm)

The Winning Number for a Draw will be announced on the Rafflebox platform, as well as on the Angel Foundation for Learning’s social media channels. The winner will receive direct notification by email, text or phone call.

Use of the Proceeds from the Raffle

All net funds raised through the sale of 50-50 raffle tickets are used to support student nutrition programs, and other basic essentials for students in the City of Toronto.

Prize Structure:

Jackpot

Draw to be held Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 1 pm.

Subject to compliance with the Regulations, Rules and Gaming Conditions, the holder of the Winning ticket will receive 50% of the total Jackpot (50% of the value of all tickets sold).

Odds of winning the prize are based on the number of tickets sold during the event.

Only one winning ticket will be drawn for the cash jackpot and the early bird prize.

• Friday, May 22, 2026 at 1:00 PM PM (Deadline to purchase tickets: May 22, 2026 at 1 pm)

Prize: $150 cash

• Friday, June 12, 2026 at 1:00 PM (Deadline to purchase tickets: June 12, 2026 at 1 PM)

Awarding of Prizes:

The early bird prize will be awarded to the holder of the winning ticket. The winner of each draw will be notified by email and/or phone call. All prizes can be picked up from The Angel Foundation for Learning offices at 80 Sheppard Avenue East, Toronto, ON M2N 6E8 during regular business hours. Winner can confirm their pick up date/time or inquire about alternate arrangements by calling 416-222-8282 ext 72205 or emailing angel.foundation@tcdsb.org.

The early bird winners remain eligible to win the cash jackpot prize.

The cash jackpot will be awarded to the holder of the winning ticket. The winner will be notified via email and/or text message/phone call as provided by the purchaser. The purchaser will confirm if the jackpot is to be handled digitally through an electronic transfer of funds, or by cheque to be picked up at the Angel Foundation for Learning office, 80 Sheppard Avenue East, Toronto, ON M2N 6E8.

The winning ticket number and name of the winner will be shared on social media platforms.

Unclaimed prizes: prizes which are not claimed must be secured or placed in safekeeping for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. If at the end of six (6) months the prize has still not been claimed, the prize or monies equivalent to the fair market value of the prize must be donated to a beneficiary approved by the licensing authority.
