“SPRING FEVER 2026” Multi-Prize Raffle

Since the formation of the Alberta Bowhunters Association in 1956, it has become the voice of bowhunters in the province of. The ABA is involved in working with government and other stakeholders to lobby for changes to the hunting regulations (in general terms as well as for bowhunting in particular), help develop “policy” for FW in dealing with wildlife management issues, involved in their Species Management Reviews. We are very aware of the threats to our hunting and bowhunting heritages, our outdoor recreational pursuits. The ABA is a member group on the Alberta Conservation Association Board. We support the International Bowhunter Education Programs that teach bowhunters the right way to do things and the National Archery in the Schools Program that introduces archery to youngsters in a school environment (both administered by the Alberta Hunter Education Instructors Association, and they have had phenomenal success). The ABA has just completed a comprehensive review/update for AHEIA of the Bowhunting component of their Hunter Education manual.

The ABA provides $2M third party liability insurance to the members, a network of directors from all regions of the province. We have a one-of-a-kind, internationally acclaimed Game Awards Program. A superb annual YEARBOOK and a great website. We give support to our affiliated clubs for their 3D archery shoots that focus on bowhunting situations. We are active in promoting youth in archery and bowhunting. In general, we are working hard to make sure our passions for archery and bowhunting are allowed to continue.

Everything you now do as a bowhunter in Alberta, you can attribute to the hard work of the Alberta Bowhunters Association the past 66 years, all of it by volunteers!! We have a strong membership and an active, dedicated executive. If you bowhunt, you need to belong to the ABA.

The proceeds from our raffles over the years help offset the costs of the Association and our various programs (the Game Awards Program, 3D Sponsorship Program, our annual 96-page, full color YEARBOOK, insurance costs, youth initiatives). Your past and future support is greatly appreciated!!

Alberta Bowhunters Association Raffle Rules

(“Spring Fever 2026” Raffle)

Amended April 7, 2026

Raffle # 760570 rules include the following:

a) Raffle tickets will not be sold to a person under 18 years of age.

b) Tickets will be sold through the online platform Rafflebox. No cash sales available.

c) Players must reside in Alberta, be 18 years or older, and use a major credit card, Visa Debit or MasterCard Debit. Credit cards used for payment must have an Alberta address.

d) Tickets will be available starting Dec 1, 2025.

e) No refunds on ticket purchases.

f) ABA has no restrictions on ABA members, executive, raffle chairperson or their families, in buying tickets.

g) There is no limit on number of tickets a person can purchase.

h) Tickets (total of 16410 available) will be sold (thru Rafflebox) as follows:

1 for $5 x 60 = $300

10 for $20 x 235 = $4700

40 for $50 x 100 = $5000

100 for $100 x 100 = $10000

i) If a minimum number of 10000 tickets are sold, there will no request for a draw date extension or cancelling of the raffle.

j) Draw date will be June 9, 2026 at Big Timber Archery, Grande Prairie, AB. Draw is open to the public..

k) There are three prizes:

PRIZE #1- $5000 gift certificate at any Alberta archery shop or Cabelas/Bass Pro location.

PRIZE #2 – 3D Target package (Rinehart whitetail, antelope, black bear, 1/3 elk, 1/3 moose).

PRIZE #3 – Millenium treestand and ladder, ground blind.

l) Rafflebox will be the Electronic Raffle System and Random Number Generator supplier for this raffle.

m) The winner will be determined by a random draw utilizing an Alberta Gaming Liquor Commission (AGLC) registered Electronic Raffle Supplier (ERS) Random Number Generator (RNG) (Rafflebox).

n) There is no cash equivalent. Prizes must be accepted as listed/awarded, no substitutions.

o) The winner will be notified by a phone call and/or an email. By playing, you consent to having your name and winning number published.

p) Advertising of the raffle will take place through the ABA Facebook and Instagram pages, ABA website, ABA mass email list, various social media forums. The winner will be announced through the same.

q) Pickup of the prizes will be the responsibility of the winner. Be from an ABA Executive member in Edmonton area.

4. By playing you consent to having your name and winning number published.

5. ABA has no restrictions on ABA members, executive, raffle chairperson or their families, in buying tickets.

6. Raffle tickets will be sold in Alberta through Rafflebox. Links and raffle rules available on our ABA website (www.albertabowhunters.ca). Tickets can only be purchased online. No cash sales.

7. A minimum of 500 tickets must be sold or a draw extension will be requested.

8. Ticket packages (13850 tickets available) are:

1 for $5 x 400 = $2000

10 for $20 x 345 = $6900

40 x $50 x 110 = $5500

100 for $100 x 56 = $5600

9. Draw date will be June 9, 2026 at Big Timber Archery, Grande Prairie, AB. Draw is open to the public.

10. The winner will be determined by a random draw utilizing an Alberta Gaming Liquor Commission (AGLC) registered Electronic Raffle Supplier (ERS) Random Number Generator (RNG) (through Rafflebox).

11. The winner will be contacted by phone and email.

12. The prize (50% of the proceeds raised) is to be accepted as awarded.

13. The winner has 90 days from the date of the draw to claim their prize. If not claimed, the ABA will apply to AGLC to have proceeds donated back to the ABA.
