• Raffle tickets shall not be sold to a person under the age of 18 years. Ticket purchasers must be 18 years of age or older, and the name of a minor must not be written on the ticket. If it is determined prior to the draw that a ticket has been issued to a minor, the ticket is deemed void and the purchaser refunded.
• Employees and Board members of the Alberta SPCA, and/or members of their immediate family (spouse, parents, children or siblings) that reside in the same household, are not eligible to purchase tickets. Administrators of the Electronic Raffle System (ERS) and/or members of their immediate family (spouse, parents, children or siblings) that reside in the same household, are not eligible to purchase tickets.
• Tickets may be purchased and sold in Alberta only.
• Tickets may be purchased online at https://animalheroeslottery.ca, by mail, phone, or in-person at 17904-118 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB, between 8:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday
• Total ticket value is $250,000. Tickets are available as follows:
o Series A: 300 tickets for $10 each
o Series B: 2,100 sets of 4 tickets for $20
o Series C: 1,300 sets of 20 tickets for $50
o Series D: 1,400 sets of 100 tickets for $100
• The total number of tickets is 174,700.
• All tickets will be emailed to purchasers by the registered ERS whenever possible. Tickets will only be mailed to purchasers who do not provide a valid email address.
• Draw will be made at Alberta SPCA head office 17904 118 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5S 2W3. The winner will be determined by the ERS Random Number Generator (RNG). All draws are open to the public.
• Purchaser and transaction files are continuously backed up by the ERS. In the unexpected event of a power failure the draw will be postponed and take place immediately once power has been restored.
• Ticket orders must be received by 11:59 p.m. on September 7, 2026, for guaranteed eligibility for the draw on September 14, 2026.
• Winner will be contacted by telephone and/or email within 7 days of the draw and by mail if they cannot be contacted by telephone or email. The prize winner has three months from the draw date to collect their prize.
• If a winner has been notified by telephone and/or email and/or registered mail and the prize is not claimed within three months of the draw date, the Alberta SPCA will contact the AGLC for permission to award the prize to the Alberta SPCA.
• The raffle prize is a cash prize; prize winner takes 50% of total ticket sales to maximum of $125,000. Prize is awarded in the form of a cheque in the name of the ticket winner. Prize will be either mailed to the winner, or it can be picked up by the winner at 17904 118 Ave Edmonton AB during the hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
• In the event a winning ticket stub has more than one name on it, the prize will be awarded to only one of the individuals identified on the ticket. The Alberta SPCA and AGLC are not responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket stub.
• No ticket refunds will be given after the draw is made. Ticket refunds may take up to four weeks to process, and refunds may be issued to original method of payment or by cheque.
• A minimum of 30,000 tickets must be sold by September 7, 2026. If 30,000 tickets are not sold by this date the Alberta SPCA reserves the right to contact the AGLC and ask for both sales and draw date extensions.
• By playing, winners consent to having their name, winning numbers published.
