Together, We’re Building a Safer, Stronger Community
Every day, the South Okanagan Similkameen Brain Injury Society (SOSBIS) walks alongside individuals and families navigating life after brain injury. Our work is deeply rooted in this community because healing, safety, independence, and dignity grow stronger when we support one another. This raffle is an opportunity for all of us to contribute to that shared mission and help ensure essential services and safe living environments remain available to those who need them most.
Strengthening Essential Programs
Raffle proceeds will help fund vital software tools and program resources that support survivors in rebuilding their skills and independence. Many of these programs receive no dedicated funding, yet they remain foundational to improving daily life after a brain injury. Your contribution helps keep these services accessible for local residents.
Building Capacity for a Growing Community
As SOSBIS expands to meet rising needs, funds will also provide office furniture for new staff members, ensuring our growing team has the space and tools to offer high-quality support and advocacy to clients across the region.
Enhancing Safety, Accessibility & Comfort for Local Seniors
SOSBIS manages many properties, one being a seniors’ building in our community, and a portion of raffle proceeds will directly support improvements that enhance well-being and quality of life, including:
• Recreation equipment to promote physical activity, social engagement, and mental wellness
• Furniture upgrades for all common areas across six floors, creating warm and inviting shared spaces
• Specialized, senior-friendly furnishings designed for aging residents with visual impairments, durable, easy to sanitize, and built with safety in mind
These enhancements support healthier, more inclusive living for some of our most vulnerable citizens.
Why Your Support Matters
Brain injury doesn’t just affect individuals—it affects families, workplaces, and entire communities. When you purchase a raffle ticket, you’re helping someone regain independence, supporting safer housing for seniors, and investing in services that stay right here in the South Okanagan and Similkameen.
Your participation strengthens the network of care that makes our region a more compassionate, resilient place to live.
Actual odds depend on the number of tickets sold.
