Rules of Play and Draw Schedule
ELIGIBILITY
1. Ticket purchasers must be 18 years or older to enter The Thunder Bay Museum 50/50 Raffle.
2. Ticket purchasers must be located in Ontario at the time of purchase.
3. The following persons are prohibited from purchasing tickets in the Thunder Bay Museum 50/50
Raffle:
● The Thunder Bay Museum staff;
● The Thunder Bay Historical Museum Society Board of Directors;
● Employees of registered gaming suppliers; and
● Members of the same household of each of the above.
TICKET SALES
1. Tickets must be purchased in the province of Ontario.
2. Tickets may be purchased online through the Rafflebox platform or in person at The Thunder Bay Museum.
3. Tickets will be available at 9:00 AM on the start date until 12:00 PM on the draw date; for a list of start dates and draw dates please see the schedule below.
4. Tickets are available at the following bundle prices: $10/20 ticket, $20/50 tickets, $50/200 tickets, and $100/600 tickets.
5. All tickets will be delivered via email unless purchased through the Thunder Bay Museum's handheld sales unit. It is the responsibility of the ticket purchaser to ensure that they receive their tickets, however, purchasers do not need their tickets in hand to be included in the draws.

6. While in-person ticket sales will take place, only the emailed copy of the ticket is valid. Paper ticket receipts are only for proof of purchase.
DRAWS, PRIZES AND WINNERS
1. Ticket sales will conclude at 12:00 PM on the draw date which is when all qualified tickets will be confirmed.
2. A single ticket number will be selected on the draw date at 2:00 pm by the Random Number Generation (RNG) on the Rafflebox platform, from all ticket numbers sold during the duration of the raffle. The draw will be conducted from the offices of the Thunder Bay Museum (425 Donald St E, Thunder Bay, ON P7E 5V1). If the draw cannot take place due to an unforeseen circumstance, the draw will be held as soon as possible, with approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
3. Early bird draws will occur at 2:00 PM on 16 July 2026 and 14 August 2026 for raffles operating during the applicable periods for a prize of $500.00 each.
4. The winning ticket number will be posted to the Museum’s website and social media on the draw date. Winners will also be notified by phone.
5. Ticket holders do not have to be present at the draws in order to win or to claim their prize.
6. The amount of the 50/50 will be determined based on the number and value of tickets purchased.
7. The winner must provide their full name, address, email address, and phone number when claiming their prize, along with valid photo identification. A cheque for the prize amount—equal to 50% of the total sales for the draw—will be issued to the winner. If the winner is unable to provide photo ID, the prize will be held until proper identification is presented.
8. Prizes will be secured for a period of six (6) months following the draw date. Unclaimed prizes will be reported to, and approved for redrawn by, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
9. The winner must provide their full name, address, email address, and phone number upon claiming their prize.

GENERAL
1. By purchasing a ticket in the Thunder Bay Museum 50/50 Raffle, the purchaser acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these rules. All inquiries regarding the conduct, chance of winning, prizing or procedures of lotteries are to be made to the Thunder Bay Museum prior to the purchase of a ticket.
2. All orders will be processed and fulfilled using the Rafflebox raffle management platform. In the event of any discrepancy, the records of Rafflebox shall be deemed correct and final. The liability of the licensee shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket.
PRIVACY
12. By claiming a prize, the winner consents to the use of their likeness/photograph, first and last name, ticket number, city/town of residence and the audio/video recording (or written transcription) of the winner notification telephone call, for any publicity purposes by the Thunder Bay Museum.
13. The Thunder Bay Museum respects the privacy of its raffle supporters; we do not sell, rent, or trade our supporter lists.
14. The information we collect is used to process raffle ticket purchases, keep our supporters informed about the activities of The Thunder Bay Museum, and ask for their support for our mission to collect, preserve, and promote the history of Northwestern Ontario.
