Raffle Period: Ticket sales begin January 7, 2026, at 9:00am (local time) and end July 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM. The draw will be held on July 3, 2026 at 2:00pm at the AFKA Edmonton Office.
1.Eligibility
•
Open to all individuals 18 years or older at the time of purchase, and the name of a minor must not be written on the ticket. If it is determined prior to the draw that a
ticket has been issued to a minor, the ticket is deemed void and the purchaser refunded.
•
Must be physically located in the Province of Alberta at the time of ticket purchase.
•
Employees, volunteers, board members of AFKA, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling) are eligible to win.
•
The AFKA raffle chairperson (in this case, AFKA’s Executive Director) is not eligible to win.
•
Ticket purchasers may not transfer tickets to another person before the draw.

3.Ticket Sales / Methods

Online ticket purchasers must verify age (18+) and Alberta residence at time of purchase.

5.Draw Procedure
•
All unsold and sold tickets reconciled and logged. Draw will be open to public, with at least two of AFKA’s executives or board members present.
•
Prizes will be awarded from the least to most expensive by way of a draw.
•
Winner(s) will be selected at random (using an electronic draw) on July 3, 2026.Winners are eligible to win more than one item as long as they purchased more than one ticket. Winning tickets will not be re-entered into the draw for another prize.
•
The draw will take place at AFKA’s office located at 10263 178 St NW, Edmonton, ABT5S 1M3 and will also be live streamed via Facebook Live for the public to view.
•
There will be no cash alternatives given for any prize.
6. Refunds & Cancellation
•
No refunds on tickets once sold; all sales are final.
•
Should there be a need to cancel or modify the raffle (draw date, prize, etc.), prior notice will be given to AGLC and the AFKA can only proceed with their approval.
•
In case of cancellation, AFKA will make reasonable attempt to refund purchasers or provide alternate compensation, subject to licence and AGLC rules.
7. Claims & Release
•
Winner must provide proof of identity (photo ID) matching name on ticket purchase or registration.
•
Winner will be required to sign a declaration and release (standard form) before receiving prize.
•
By entering, purchasers consent to use of their name, city/town of residence and prize won for publicity purposes (with no further compensation).
8. Record Keeping & Reporting
•
AFKA will keep all records, receipts, ticket sales logs, unsold tickets, etc., for two years following licence expiry.
•
Within 60 days after the draw, the AFKA will submit required financial report to AGLC (including revenue, prize distribution, expenses).
9. General
•
Tickets cannot be sold to minors (under 18 years old).
•
Tickets cannot be sold outside Alberta. Persons who purchase our tickets must use an Alberta address as confirmation that they live in Alberta.
•
AFKA reserves the right to disqualify any entry or ticket purchased in contravention of these rules.
•
AFKA is not responsible for lost, stolen, misprinted, or destroyed tickets.
•
A maximum of 3,000 tickets will be sold. A minimum of 2,000 tickets must be sold for the draw to proceed as planned on the advertised date. If fewer
than 2,000 tickets are sold by the closing date of July 3, 2026, AKFA might choose to request a draw date extension or approval from the licensing authority (e.g., AGLC)
to cancel the raffle. In case of cancellation, AFKA will make reasonable attempt to refund purchasers or provide alternate compensation, subject to licence and AGLC rules.
•
If more than one name is on a winning ticket stub, that the prize will be awarded to only one of the individuals named on the ticket stub. Neither the AFKA nor AGLC is responsible for any disputes among the individuals whose names are written on the ticket stub.
•
For electronic raffles, in the event of a power failure: If the power goes out during ticket sales, sales will pause and restart once power is restored. If the outage is long, the raffle may be postponed and a new date will be shared.
If the power goes out during a draw and no winner has been confirmed, the draw will be redone once power is restored.
If a winner was already drawn and recorded before the outage, that result will stand.
All ticket and draw information is securely backed up, so no sales or results will be lost. Any changes caused by a power failure will be communicated publicly.
