Stratford Summer Music Sonata Sweepstakes 2026 Draw Rules (the “Rules”)
Stratford Summer Music (SSM) will be conducting a 50/50 draw throughout the 2026 season.
By purchasing a 50/50 ticket issued by SSM, the ticket purchaser acknowledges that they have read, understood and agreed to these to these Rules. SSM reserves the right to amend and revise these Rules from time to time.
In the event of a conflict between any information issued by Rafflebox and contained on the ticket, such conflict shall be resolved in accordance with the following priority;
(i) the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (“AGCO”) Regulations;
(ii) these Rules; and
(iii) the ticket.
1. Eligibility
Ticket purchasers must be 18 years of age or older. Tickets must be purchased in Ontario and Ticket purchasers must be physically located in the province of Ontario at the time of purchase.
Directors, shareholders, officers, executive members and employees of SSM are not eligible to purchase tickets.
Tickets will go on sale on December 4, 2025, and will be sold until August 2, 2026 for the early bird draw and until September 10, 2026 for the 50/50 draw.
2. Tickets
Online e-tickets for the 50/50 draw are sold using an electronic draw system supplied by Rafflebox. Tickets will be available for purchase through SSM’s website hosted by Rafflebox, as well through a handheld device at SSM performances. There are no refunds on ticket purchases.
Tickets will be priced as follows:
• 3 tickets for $10.00
• 10 tickets for $20.00
• 50 tickets for $50.00
• 150 tickets for $100.00
SSM will collect and track all monies in a separate account for 50/50 revenue.
The ticket purchaser is solely responsible for ensuring they receive the correct number of tickets and for handling the tickets once issued. SSM is not responsible for lost or destroyed tickets.
3. Validity of Tickets
Only tickets that have been verified by SSM will be considered valid. SSM will consider a ticket valid if the ticket is:
a) Sold and issued by SSM for the purpose of the 50/50 draw;
b) contains with the proper name and telephone number on the ticket provided by Rafflebox; and,
c) paid for in full by the ticket purchaser within the specified deadline.
SSM reserves the right to satisfy itself as to the validity of any ticket that is presented as a winning ticket. SSM may not award a prize for tickets that are not valid or to ticket holders who are in breach of these Rules. SSM may refuse to send or forward prize to an address
outside of Ontario or to an address in any jurisdiction which sending or forwarding is prohibited by law.
4. 50/50 Draw Date
Early Bird Draw: The draw will be held by SSM on August 2, 2026 at 2:30pm. The deadline to purchase tickets is August 2, 2026 at 2:29pm.
Grand Prize Draw: The draw will be held by SSM on September 10, 2026 at 8:00pm. The deadline to purchase tickets is September 10, 2026 at 7:59pm.
5. Draws
The winning ticket for the early bird draw and the 50/50 draw will be drawn randomly by a third party not associated with the SSM Board of Directors. The early bird draw will take place at MusicBarge (The Boathouse adjacent). The 50/50 Draw will take place at 75 Kellys Lane in Stratford, ON. Two other third parties will be present to witness each draw. The name and ticket number of the winning ticket holder for each draw will be posted on the SSM website and social media. The winner will be contacted by phone and given instructions on how to claim their prize.
6. Consent to Use of Personal Information
By purchasing a ticket, the ticket holder consents to the use of their image, first and last name and ticket number being posted on SSM’s website and social media.
7. Early Bird Prize
The early bird prize will be two (2) tickets to the Ed Sheeran concert on Saturday August 22, 2026 (approximate value $649.60) at the Rogers Centre.
8. Grand Prize
The prize value of the winning ticket will be 50% of the funds raised through tickets sales, payable by cheque.
9. Prize Claim – Early Bird Draw
If the early bird prize is not claimed within one week of the winner announcement, the winner will receive a cash prize of $400 in lieu of the concert tickets. After the week has passed, the charity is entitled to use the concert tickets for other fundraising purposes. If the cash prize is unclaimed, it will be secured and placed in safekeeping for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. If, at the end of six (6) months the proceeds have still not been claimed, the total amount of the prize held in trust will be included in the gross proceeds of the lottery event.
10. Prize Claim – Grand Prize
Any 50/50 proceeds unclaimed will be secured and placed in safekeeping for a period of six (6) months from the date of the draw. If, at the end of six (6) months the proceeds have still not been claimed, the total amount of the prize held in trust will be included in the gross proceeds of the lottery event.
11. Representation, Warranties and Limited Liability
Other than as identified in these Rules, SSM makes no representations or warranties of any kind whatsoever about the draw, the tickets, or the electronic draw system used to conduct the draw. SSM shall not be liable for any loss, harm or damage suffered by any person as a result of the operation of the draw or the electronic draw system used to conduct the draw or the failure of the electronic raffle system to operate properly or at all. The liability of the SSM shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket, which is not tax deductible.
12. General Provisions
These Rules shall be governed by, subject to and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada as applicable therein. The Courts of the Province of Ontario shall have exclusive jurisdiction in association with any action or other legal proceeding based on or arising out of these Rules or any raffle conducted by SSM.
The headings in these Rules are for convenience of reference only and do not affect the interpretation of these Rules.
