Valley Search and Rescue (VSAR) is pleased to announce our MONTHLY ON-LINE 50-50 JACKPOT on behalf of all participating Nova Scotia Ground Search and Rescue Teams (NSGSAR). NSGSAR teams are 100% volunteer non-profit organisations tasked with finding and rescuing lost persons in wilderness or urban environments. We are generally activated by the RCMP or municipal police forces, and work in conjunction with municipalities and the province. SAR teams are also activated by Emergency Management agencies in times of natural disaster or other crisis.

As well as Search and Rescue work, SAR teams actively promote prevention – regularly providing woods-proofing training (Hug-A-Tree) to youth groups to teach the children how to avoid getting lost, and how to remain safe if they do.

NSGSAR teams are also agencies for Project Lifesaver, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting caregivers to find loved ones who may be at increased risk of wandering due to Alzheimer's disease, Autism or other impairments. Clients wear a radio transmitter bracelet that emits a tracking signal. SAR personnel have the training and equipment to locate wandering clients much more quickly than using traditional methods, minimizing the risk of injury or death.

Our goal is to support our community by being a resource during natural disasters, providing preventative training to help avoid emergencies, and responding 24/7 if someone does become lost or injured in a wilderness settling. In order to be able to maintain the equipment, vehicles and other tools we require to do this job, we depend heavily on fundraisers like this. Your support is important, and makes a difference!

One winner each month will receive 50% of the money raised.

When purchasing tickets, please select the SAR team you are supporting, as the money will directly help that group. The money raised helps SAR teams across all Nova Scotia.

The winner will be contacted to claim their prize payout.

We thank you for your continued support!
