Support Your Favorite Charity!

We all have our favorite charities! We might volunteer with them, help fundraise, or make personal donations. Usually, these charities support a cause or group that is meaningful or important to us. At the Kinsmen Club of St. John’s, we also have certain charities to which we pay special attention. For example, we have sponsored the 514 Air Cadet Squadron for more than 70 years and regularly donate to CF and MS. At the same time, we get lots of requests from individuals and groups to help them too. That’s where the idea for this 50/50 fundraiser came from. Rather than having us pick one charity to fundraise for, we thought we would give you the option to tell us which charity or group you would like us to support through your ticket purchases. Scroll down to learn more about these charities.

Here's how it works: Simply select the charity/group you want to support by choosing it from the drop-down menu at the right of this page. On the date indicated, we will award half the jackpot to one lucky winner. After expenses have been taken out, the remaining funds will be forwarded to charities/groups based on the support they received. If you can’t decide on a charity or group to support, choose the “Any group in need” option and we will use those funds to support local charities or groups. We reserve the right to delay payment to specific charities or groups until after the last game in this lottery fundraiser so that the amount forwarded will be as large as possible.
