Rules for buying 50/50 tickets

Tickets may be sold and purchased only in the province of Ontario, Canada

Ticket purchasers must be 18 years or older .

No tickets can be purchased by any member of the current Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity Huronia, nor by any of the employee(s) of the affiliate or assigned/involved with the administration and management of the prescribed 50/50 gamine event(s). Nor are employees of Habitat Restore locations in Collingwood, Barrie, Alliston, eligible to play or their spouses.

Habitat for Humanity Huronia volunteers are eligible to purchase tickets.

 50/50 Gaming Ticket Series Available

The Habitat for Humanity Huronia 50/50 tickets will be sold as described herein for each 50/50 draw period covered by the gaming event licence as issued.

Ticket Series Prices/Series

A- 5 Tickets for $10.00

B- 30 Tickets for $25.00

C- 75 Tickets for $50.00

D- 125 Tickets for $100.00

Total # Individual Tickets Per Draw Combined = 200,000

Prize: For each 50/50 draw held in the license period, the prize amount will be determined by the total # of tickets sold in for that draw period only, and then divided evenly by 50% between the winner(s) chosen through the Random Number Generator (RNG) and the license holder: Habitat for Humanity Huronia.

Maximum 50/50 prize payout per draw will not exceed $150,000,000

If, for some reason, the draw cannot take place on the draw date listed, a substitute draw date and time will be selected. All ticket purchasers will be informed via email or can see the amended draw date and time of draw information posted on the Habitat for Humanity Huronia website.

The winning ticket is drawn using Random Number Generator Software (RNG)

The winning ticket number drawn will be posted online at the following website link https://www.habitathuronia.com

This will be done within a 24–48-hour period after each draw has been completed. Once the draw has taken place, buyers will be notified of the winning ticket number electronically.

Tickets are available online through the assigned electronic service provider Rafflebox website for Habitat Huronia and throughout the community during any scheduled pop-up events that are held in by Habitat for Humanity Huronia or events where Habitat for Humanity Huronia has been invited to have a presence. Such events will be posted regularly on the Habitat for Humanity Huronia instagram, website, and in stores.

Draw Winner(s)

The winner(s) of each draw will be contacted by phone. Habitat for Humanity Huronia will identify themselves as a representative of Habitat for Humanity Huronia when calling.

Winners consent to release of their name(s) by licensee

If a winning ticket bears a minor’s name, the prize will be lawfully delivered on behalf of the minor to the confirmed minor’s parent, legal guardian, or trustee.

Identification documentation will be collected from the winner(s) as required before any prize can be awarded.

Security

For fixed prize values of $10,000 or more, the security must be an irrevocable standby letter of credit drawn on a Canadian chartered bank, payable to the licensing authority and which expires no sooner than 45 days after the last day of the lottery event specified in the licence

Privacy

Habitat for Humanity Huronia does not sell, rent or exchange personal information collected from these draws with any other organization or entity.

Complaints

Any Complaints can be directed in writing to the raffle administrator by emailing events@habitathuronia.com. The administrator(s) will review the complaint and take appropriate action if/when necessary.

Delay in Draw

Should a delay occur in the draw time on the scheduled draw days, every effort will be made to make the draw as soon as possible

Should an alternate day need to be announced after approval by the AGCO, all ticket purchasers will be notified via email. Or they can see the amended draw date and time on the Habitat for Humanity Huronia website.

Unclaimed Prizes

If a prize is unclaimed the following attempts to contact the winner(s) by a representative of Habitat for Humanity Huronia will be conducted

Reasonable effort will be made to contact the winner(s), including to locate the winner through a telephone number, address, email by the licensee, or by sending a registered letter or telephoning

Advertising online on the Habitat for Humanity Huronia website, on radios stations in our area – Corus and Bell Media – Kool FM, Rock 95, Barrie 360, The Peak and local newspapers still in publication from the ticket stub information provided by the winner(s) to the licensee within 120 days following the draw date.

Habitat for Humanity Huronia will keep records of the attempts to contact the winner, as part of the documentation retained under the terms and conditions of the licence. The unclaimed prize will be held in trust by the licensee for a period not less that six months (6 months) from the date the prize was awarded. At the end of the 6-month period, from the date the prize was awarded. At the end of the six-month period the total amount of the prize held in trust, including interest, must be included by the licensee in the gross proceeds of the 50/50 draw.
