Rules of Play for 50/50 Online Raffle
1. Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary is a not-for-profit registered charity. Its mandate is to rescue, rehabilitate and release injured and orphaned wildlife; provide forever homes to native Ontario species that cannot be returned to the wild; and educate the public about living in harmony with wildlife. Charitable Registration Number: 118791193RR0001.
2. The lottery will take place September 2025, January 2026 and May 2026. Ticket sales will commence on the following days - Sept 8 ‘25; Jan 5 ’26; May 4 ‘26. Winning tickets will be drawn three weeks later on the following days - Sept 29 ‘25; Jan 26 ‘26; May 25 ‘26.
3. Raffle is operated under Provincial Lottery License RAF1495625 and is subject to the laws of the Province of Ontario. All tickets will only be sold to people who are 18 years of age or older.
4. Tickets are $10 for 1 ticket, $20 for 3 tickets, $50 for 8 tickets, $100 for 20 tickets.
5. Tickets will only be sold via online purchase through the Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary 50/50 page (through Rafflebox).
6. Purchasers must provide their first name, last name, address, telephone number and e-mail as part of the purchase process and must purchase tickets only with a valid credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) via the secure payment gateway (through Rafflebox).
7. After buying, purchasers will be presented a downloadable and printable ticket/receipt with their 50/50 registered numbers from a Random Selection System. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly. Numbers purchased will be stored electronically along with the purchasers’ purchase history and information.
8. The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all raffle numbers sold for the draw for the period of the raffle (quarterly draws).
9. The winning number and amount of the 50/50 will be announced on our Facebook and Instagram pages, additionally, the winner will be contacted via telephone and/or e-mail per the information they submit at time of online purchase.
10. Upon verification of the winner’s identity and age, via a scan of a valid provincial or federal photo identification card (i.e., driver’s license, passport, etc.), the winner will be sent payment by cheque in the amount of the declared prize which is, 50% of the total sales for that game.
11. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.
12. The winning ticket holder has 6 months in which to claim their prize from the date of the draw their ticket was purchased for.
13. In the event that attempts to contact the winner are unsuccessful, the winning stub will be kept in a safety deposit box and held for 6 months. After that time period has elapsed the prize will be retained by Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary with the approval of AGCO.
