The Rotary Club of Abbotsford Matsqui's latest 50/50 raffle is being held on behalf of the Abbotsford Hospice and Grief Support Society.
Abbotsford Regional Hospital is operating beyond its limits. The Paliative Complex Care Unit is at a staggering 140% уеагlу аvегаgе сарасity. This means patents at the end of life are often left waiting for care or, tragically, dying in hospital hallways. Abbotsford Ноsрiсе offers something the hospital cannot: а peaceful, homelike environment where families can gather, grieve, and support their loved one in comfort. Hospitals simply do not have the capacity to provide what a hospice provides- warmth, privacy, and the human touch that makes the final days meaningful.
We need to build six additional hospice beds at Abbotsford Hospice Homberg House, which will require an investment of $3.5 million dollars. These beds will relieve critical pressure on the hospital, ensure that no one spends their last moments in a hallway, and give families the space and support they need during one of life’s most difficult times.
