House Rules for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Halifax 2026 Air Canada BIG Getaway (Prize Raffle and 50/50 Raffle)
The prizes include:
~ $3,200 Air Canada gift of flight
~ 2 nights’ accommodation in a Queen Room with a view at Dalvay by the Sea in PEI ($700 value)
~ 50/50 of jackpot prize
Tickets will only be sold online through Raffle Box.
The service Provider (RAFFLEBOX TECHNOLOGIES, INC) will provide the Customer with a custom webpage with the customers logo/branding and write up for the raffle. This software will allow Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Halifax to sell e-tickets through methods of credit. A drop-down menu for purchasers to select a specific ticket seller (event participant) will be provided. The drop-down menu is a mechanism to assist the organization to track ticket sales by individuals and acknowledge supporters who are assisting in promoting the raffle. There is no financial benefit to the people listed in the drop-down menu, as all funds from ticket sales are directed to the charity.
The Draw shall take place on a random number generator hosted by Rafflebox Inc. on Monday, May
25, 2026 at approximately 12:00 pm. The draw will be supervised by the Licensee and be done in the presence of 3 witnesses.
The Announcement will be immediate and in front of the audience gathered. The announcement will declare the names on the winning tickets. The Licensee will contact the individual concerned via telephone and email within 24 hours of the draw to notify them of the status of their winning ticket.
A winner does not have to be present at the time of the May 25th, 2026, draw to qualify for the prize.
The Winners agree to grant to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Halifax the right to publish, through all types of media broadcasting, including the internet, for the purposes of promoting the win, their full name, hometown, and photograph without any claim for broadcasting, printing or other rights. The Winners shall not be compensated for such participation. The Winners agree to have no claim against Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Halifax for invasion of privacy or any other ground(s) by reason of the publication or broadcasting of their name, hometown or photograph or information voluntarily provided.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Halifax has placed no additional restrictions on who may purchase tickets. Sponsors, donors, volunteers, members, and staff of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Halifax will be permitted to purchase.
All prizes must be picked up in person or delivered to designated winners.
All prizes are to be accepted as awarded. The Prizes are NOT transferable, non-refundable and have no convertible cash value, except for the cash prize for the 50/50. This prize will be paid to the selected winner by cheque.
The individual booking the flights must be over the age of majority in their province of residence.
The Proceeds of the Lottery shall accrue to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Halifax, a not-for profit, registered Canadian Charity. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Halifax shall utilize the funds to support its budget and mandate to provide quality mentoring programs for young people.
The Geographic location of the Lottery is the Province of Nova Scotia and no tickets will be offered for sale outside of Nova Scotia.
The last date and time for qualifying tickets sales shall be May 25, 2026 9:00 AM.
A Second Draw for a winner will be conducted 90 days after the initial winning draw if the winner for the first draw cannot be located and the prize is unclaimed. If necessary, the second draw will take place at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Halifax location in Bedford. This requirement will be printed on the ticket.
