Rule of Play for 50/50 Online Raffle
1. Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre is a non-profit charitable corporation where the mandate of the facility is to help all injured and orphaned wildlife, mammals, birds, reptiles, or amphibians and release them back into the wild. We also give advice and assistance to property owners who are having problems with their wild animal neighbours and can offer humane alternatives to solve these conflicts. Registered charitable organization tax number: 814020210 RR0001.
2. The lottery will take place monthly beginning January 3, 2026 through December 31, 2026. The winning ticket will be drawn and a winner announced on the 1st of each month.
3. Raffle is operated under Provincial Lottery License No. RAF1524639 and is subject to the laws of the Province of Ontario. All tickets will only be sold to people who are 18 years of age or older
4. Tickets are $10 for 10 tickets, $20 for 50 tickets, $40 for 200, $60 for 400
5. Each draw will include an early bird draw that will include ticket sales from the start of the draw and run for 10 days.
6. Early bird draw winner will be awarded $500.00
7. Tickets will only be available via online/in-venue purchase through the Sandy Pines Wildlife 50/50 page (through rafflebox) and in person through Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre, located @ 8749 County Road 2, Napanee, ON; purchasers must provide their first name, last name, address, telephone number and e-mail as part of the purchase process and must purchase tickets only with a valid credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) via a secure payment gateway.
8. Tickets will be sold using a certified online raffle system supplied by Rafflebox, as well tickets will be available to be purchased at Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre.
9. After buying, purchasers will be presented with a downloadable and printable ticket/receipt with their 50/50 registered numbers from a Random Selection System. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly. Numbers purchased will stored electronically along with the purchasers’ purchase history and information.
10. The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all raffle numbers sold for the draw for the period of the raffle (monthly draws).
11. The amount of the 50/50 will be announced on our Facebook page.
12. The winning number will be featured on the website sandypineswildlife.org after each draw; additionally, the winner will be contacted via telephone and/or e-mail per the information they submit at the time of online purchase.
13. Upon verification of the winner’s identity and age, via a scan of a valid provincial or federal photo identification card (i.e., driver’s license, passport, etc.), the winner will be sent payment by cheque. All payments will be made by cheque.
14. The winning ticket holder has 6 months in which to claim their prize from the date of the draw their ticket was purchased for.
15. The winner must provide his/her name, address, and phone number with picture identification for our report sheet. A scan of a valid provincial or federal photo identification card (i.e., driver’s license, passport, etc.) is acceptable.
16. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with a photo ID, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize which is, at minimum, 50% of the total sales for that game. If the winner cannot provide a photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.
17. The winner’s name will be posted on the website www.sandypineswildlife.org and via Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre Facebook.
18. If attempts to contact the winner are unsuccessful, the winning stub will kept in a safety deposit box and held for 6 months. After that time has elapsed the prize will be donated to a charity other than Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre, with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
19. Employees of Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre are prohibited from purchasing tickets and/or winning the grand prize for this raffle.
20. The above set of rules will be posted on the website the rafflebox – Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre -50/50 page and may be downloaded (pdf) or printed from that site.
