The twocharity-chosen proxies alternating duties for this raffle will be Richard Bell and Brenda Campbell. The proxies role each week will simply be to pick one of the cards that have been spread out on the table facedown (after being shuffled), after a ticket/name has already been drawn. They are not involved in any drawing of the tickets.
16. Any unclaimed prizes will be held in a secure location for the period of one year. If unclaimed in that year, the prize will be donated to a local non-profit organization or charity that is approved by SLGA.
17. A bingo ball card deck will be used for this raffle including numbers 1 through 54 (numbers 55 through 75 will be removed from the deck). The numbered cards will be checked prior to each draw by two independent workers to ensure the proper numbers are still in play. The #7 card must be shown before going into the deck, as well as after the draw to confirm that the winning card was present in the deck being selected/drawn from. After the draw, the deck of cards will be kept in a locked room at the Curling Club. Each card that is eliminated will be defaced immediately after the draw and taped to the winners board in the lounge.
18. The lucky seven “7” will be the winning card and if drawn, will win the newly stated jackpot. If the “7” card is drawn in any of the first 26 weeks of play, or as the first card drawn on the last week (27th week) of play, the winner will also receive the weekly guaranteed payout and the raffle will be over. Any other number drawn will earn a payout worth only the weekly guaranteed payout and that number drawn will be eliminated from the draw for the following week. The following week there will be only 53 cards in the deck to be drawn from. If any number other than the lucky seven “7” is drawn that week, there will only be 52 cards in play and so on. This will continue each week until the lucky seven “7” card is drawn.
19. The jackpot will continue building and numbers will be drawn each week until the seven is drawn. At that time, all the cards will be put back into the deck and the process will begin again.
20. The jackpot will initially be seeded with a $5,000 starting pot. The 50% from each week’s sales (less the guaranteed payout) will be added to the $5,000. The jackpot will only be seeded once per raffle application.
21. The very last week of the license period the first person’s ticket drawn will win the guaranteed designated payout and have the opportunity to draw for the Lucky 7. Tickets will continue to be pulled that evening until the Lucky 7 card is drawn and the participant who draws the Lucky 7 will receive the jackpot. Further participants who’s tickets are pulled and draw a number other than the 7 will NOT receive any prize.
22. The total prize value for the draw cannot exceed $2,417,500.00.
