The Picture Butte Firefighters Association is a non-profit organization made up of current and former members of Picture Butte Emergency Services, dedicated to proudly serving our community. Our mission centers on supporting the dedicated volunteer firefighters of Picture Butte Emergency Services and the residents of our community and surrounding areas through volunteer efforts, fundraising, community assistance, and advocacy.
Each year, our association organizes a fundraising event, the Annual Valentine’s Ball, to gather funds for our local fire department and other community organizations/projects we support. These funds help cover costs for equipment, apparatus, personal protective equipment (PPE), and necessary repairs and upgrades to the station, ensuring our members are well-equipped to serve the community effectively. As well as local projects in the community.
This year’s fundraiser features a Grand Prize Raffle draw, offering the chance to win one of two fantastic prizes!
Our Grand Prize Raffle Giveaway includes:
- One (1) grand prize of a gift card package valued at a total of $2,500, valid for use at any of these locations: Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, Nordic Spa, Blacktail Bar, Cedar Room, Market Café, Forte, Two Trees Bistro & Woody’s, and Kananaskis Country Golf Course, kindly sponsored by Witdouck Farms.
- One (1) second-place prize of a $500 WestJet gift card
Witdouck Farms was founded in 1950 by Julius Witdouck. Now a third-generation, family-owned business operated by Brian, Calvin, and Dale, with the fourth generation getting involved, the farm is situated just outside Picture Butte, near Iron Springs, Alberta. They specialize in high-quality grain seeds, including wheat, barley, hybrid fall rye, and hybrid seed canola, as well as seed alfalfa pollinated by leafcutter bees. The farm is also venturing into potato production, anticipating future growth. Witdouck Farms is a strong advocate for supporting our local community, including our organization.
We are immensely thankful for the support from these two wonderful local businesses, as well as all of the community members and businesses in Picture Butte. Without the generous donations and contributions our association has received over the years, we would not be able to provide the level of support necessary for our dedicated volunteer firefighters and our sister organization, PBES. Your support helps us ensure our members are equipped to respond to emergencies safely and effectively.
Thank you all for your continued support of our fundraising efforts, and best of luck!
