The Stanton Territorial Hospital Foundation is thrilled to announce the launch of our 25th Anniversary and largest ever online Winter Raffle Extravaganza! There’s $125,000 in Cash & Prizes to be won this year! In addition, we’ve added the ever-popular 50/50 Jackpot Draw, with a possible jackpot of $200,000, where one person could win up to $100,000!
Over the past 25 years, the Stanton Foundation has raised funds to ensure that the Stanton Territorial Hospital can continue to expand services, develop new programs, and provide upgraded equipment in order to allow for enhanced treatment for the people of the Northwest Territories and the Kitikmeot Region of Nunavut. Over $10 million dollars has been generated for our communities’ healthcare needs and helping to purchase essential medical equipment.
Proceeds from this year’s raffle and combined 50/50 will help to fund approximately $350,000 in equipment for the Stanton Territorial Hospital, enhancing the level of patient care available for all patients. Items such as:
Fetal Monitors – Replacement of eight monitors required - $35,000 each
Fetal Monitors are used to count the baby's heart rate. It may also be used to check the fetal heart rate during labor. In some cases, a fetal monitor can provide reassurance that the baby is doing well and identify problems that call for immediate delivery.
Bladder Scanners -Three required - $21,000 each
A bladder scanner is a non-invasive portable tool allowing for virtual 3D imaging of the bladder, for diagnosing, managing, and treating urinary outflow dysfunction. Bladder scanners are commonly utilized in acute care, long-term care, and rehabilitation environments. It can determine the need for catheterization. Currently there are no scanners at Stanton.
We count on your generosity, when you give; you make a significant difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones. The residents of the Northwest Territories and the Kitikmeot Region of Nunavut count on their hospital to deliver the healthcare they require, close to home.
We thank you for your support as we “Work Together for a Healthy North”. Good Luck Everyone!
