We have 4 draws set up between Jan 29 2021 and Jan 28 2022 (every 3 months). Last Wednesdays of 

April 2021 (April 28th) 

July 2021 (July 28th) 

October 2021 (October 27th) 

January 2022 (January 26th) 

Raffle Rules
1. The 50/50 draw tickets will be sold using the software Rafflebox and will be delivered primarily to the buyer’s stated email address. 

2. For reach draw, tickets will be available online and sold at a rate of:
 ● 1/$10 (exact # of tickets unknown, Price per ticket = $10)
 ● 3/$20 (exact # of tickets unknown, Price per ticket = $6.67)
 ● 8/$50 (exact # of tickets unknown, Price per ticket = 6.25)
 ● 20/$100 (exact # of tickets unknown, Price per ticket = $5) 

3. It is the sole responsibility of the ticket buyer to ensure that they receive the correct number of tickets based on the successful financial transaction with the online 50/50 software. 

4. Pot sizes will be updated every 2 weeks on MTRI’s Facebook page and website. 

5. The draws will be held on the last Wednesdays of April, July and October 2021 and January 2022 at 5:30 PM at the MTRI field office (9 Mount Merritt Road, Kempt, NS). They will be watchable on MTRI’s facebook live. 

6. Players must be a resident of Nova Scotia and at least 19 years of age to purchase. 

7. There are no restrictions regarding the purchase of tickets by members of any sponsoring organization or their families. 

8. There is no minimum number of tickets that must be sold. 

9. Only 1 winning ticket number will be produced. 

10. The winning prize will be a cash prize equal to 50% of the gross sales. Payment will be made by cheque to the winner from the Mersey Tobeatic Research Institute. The winner must have the ticket in hand and must have valid identification to claim the prize. The winner must also agree to have their picture taken, name and address recorded. They must also agree to allow their image and name to be included in future advertising on any medium to claim the prize. 

11. The winner will be contacted by phone and email. Failure of the winner to claim their prize 90 days after the draw date will result in a second draw from the same entrants for the full original value of the prize amount. 

12. Payments will be made to the Environmental charity/non-profit partners within 3 weeks of each of our 4 draws (April 28, 2021, July 28, 2021, October 27, 2021, January 26, 2022). Proportion of money raised given to each partner will be as follows: Of the gross sale of each draw, 50% goes to the jackpot, 2.13% goes to the Nova Scotia Dept of Alcohol, Gaming, Fuel and Tobacco and 69$ goes to the Mersey Tobeatic Research Institute for management. This $69 represents the three hours of staff time (plus benefits) required to organize the online viewing of the draw and any other work required to ensure the draws proper functioning. Of the remaining amount, 14% goes to Rafflebox and the remaining amount goes to the partner organisation, proportionate of the amount of money raised for the draw through that organizations Rafflebox Link.
