Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest is excited to announce our inaugural Oktoberfest CARES 50/50 Raffle! – Grab your tickets now!
KW Oktoberfest Inc. is a not for profit organization rooted in the cultural and demographic history of the region and is a significant economic and tourism driver in the Region of Waterloo. Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest is committed to supporting the cultural, economic and social vitality of Waterloo Region. Through Oktoberfest Cares, our festival focuses on celebrating our traditions, enriching our community and supporting those who support others. Funds raised by this raffle will be used by Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest to support the Oktoberfest CARES initiatives, including supporting and promoting local cultural programs, and supporting local charitable organizations who address important community issues, such as food security, health & wellness, sexual safety, inclusivity and diversity.

KW Oktoberfest Inc. Electronic 50/50 Lottery
Rules of Play
1. All tickets will be sold only to people who are 18 years of age or older.
2. Tickets will be sold online using the electronic lottery system supplied by Rafflebox.
3. The lottery date below will occur in the Province of Ontario:
Ticket Sales - Starting at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 and
- Ending on 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2021.
Early Bird Draws
#1 – Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 10 am – $1000 VIA Rail Voucher
#2 – Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 10 am – $1,582 Traeger Pro BBQ
#3 - Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 10 am – $2,500 Flair Airlines Voucher
Grand-prize draw – will take place on Thursday, October 13, 2021 at 10:00 am
- the winning prize will be half of the sales.
4. Tickets are: 1 for $10; 3 for $20; 8 for $50; 20 for $100
5. After buying, patrons will be provided by the sellers, a receipt with their 50/50 registered ticket number(s).
6. The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all lottery numbers sold for the draw.
7. The amount of the 50/50 will be determined based on the number and value of tickets purchased. This information will be updated in real-time on the lottery landing page located on the www.oktoberfest.ca and www.rafflebox.ca websites.
8. The winning number will be announced on the lottery landing lottery page at www.oktoberfest.ca and www.rafflebox.ca.
9. The winner may claim their prize by contacting the KW Oktoberfest Inc. office at (519) 570-4267 or [email protected] The ticket may then be brought to the KW Oktoberfest Inc. office located at 10 King St., W, Kitchener, Ontario at an agreed upon time for ticket verification. The winner will then be paid by cheque for the amount posted on the lottery website for which they bought their ticket. All payments will be made by cheque.
10. The winning ticket holder has six months to claim their prize from the date of the draw their ticket was purchased for.
11. The winner must provide their name, address and phone number with picture identification for our report sheet.
12. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize which is, at minimum, 50 per cent of the total sales for that draw. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.
13. In the event that no winner comes forward, the winning number will be kept on file in a secure location and held for six months. After that time period has elapsed, the prize will be donated to KW Oktoberfest Inc., with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
14. The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the 50/50 draws: Oktoberfest Raffle Lottery staff, residents outside of Ontario, anyone under the age of 18.
