Central Alberta Humane Society (CA Humane) is so excited to announce our "For the Love of Animals!" online 50/50 fundraiser - Support CA Humane and buy your tickets for a chance to Win!
Who We Are
From humble beginnings as Parkland Humane SPCA in 1976, we became the Red Deer & District SPCA (for the Society of Cruelty to Animals) in 2000, then amended our name to the Central Alberta Humane Society (for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) in 2017. While generations and names have changed, the base commitment to help animals in need and prevent cruelty to animals remains consistent and strong.
The Central Alberta Humane Society (CA Humane) is an adoption center dedicated to the re-homing of unwanted, abandoned, and stray companion animals. We value the lives of all animals and will do all we can to rescue and provide medical care and rehabilitation wherever possible. As a max adoption facility, we do not euthanize for space but instead, operate a managed admission system. When animals are adopted, this allows us to intake more animals.
CA Humane is a not-for-profit charitable organization that is not government funded but rather supported through public donations and a variety of fundraising efforts like this 50/50.
Our Mission
We are committed to helping animals and the community, and inspiring change through community envolvement.
